Hastings Tile and Bath- New Tile and Faucet Innovations

A recent discovery I’ve made is the Hastings Bath and Tile Collection. They started out a paving company over 100 years ago, but in the past few decades have turned to the bath and tile industry exclusively. This is a good thing, considering the showerheads, faucets, handles, paneling, tiles and accessories they have to offer.
There are collections in both bath and tile I want to talk about. The first is the Fantini Range, specially their faucets. Take a look for yourself.
Fantini Plano 3-hole Faucet

This whole collection is as if Frank Lloyd Wright designed only for bathrooms. The line presents ovel takes on familiar functions- everything looks much different than the usual setup for bathroom fixtures, but they still telegraph exactly how to use them. Nothing in the design is so foreign that it confounds the user. While some of the designs are quite space age, I think many will have as much fun as I do turning them on. More importantly, it also communicates a sense of newness, and will showcase a forward thinking design aesthetic. Many of these will interest the eye while being playful, rather than industrial and purely functional.
Keeping in mind the idea of the bathroom as a haven, there is a strong desire to accessorize the entire room. A more reserved approach is to make the background attractive to the eye. The Porcelain-Exotic line in Hastings tile products is a unique way to clear your space but keep it visually exciting.
Imagine the decadent luxury of animal products as decoration early in the century. Though macabre- the idea of hides as adornments is too much for most- one can’t deny that nature has countless designs that are beyond what many humans try to manifest their whole lives. The faux tiles here give the variation, texture and color not found in any other synthetic ornamentation. They feel like porcelain tile and retains other attributes such as weight, how well they clean and ease of setting them. Hastings Tile and Bath aren’t just limited to imitating fauna- they also do wood prints along with other textures and designs. I got a chance to look at and handle some of these directly and these two popped out at me:
Croco tile
Glass Mosaics- These come in ¾” or 1 1/8” squares on a paper backing 12” by 12”
